Terms of Service
1. Acceptance
By using Tilu: Countdown & Widget (the “App”) provided by Tilu, you agree to these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. Do not use the App if you do not agree. Minors may use the App only with parental or guardian permission where required by applicable law.
2. App and Free Features
The App helps you create, view, import, share, and display countdowns in a Widget. The free version lets you have 1 active self-created countdown at a time; countdowns you follow and countdowns that are already complete do not count toward this limit. To maintain the service, prevent abuse, or improve the product, Tilu may adjust free limits, features, or availability where permitted by law. Unless expressly stated otherwise, free features do not promise the ongoing availability of any particular feature or service level.
3. Countdown Pro: One-Time Purchase
Countdown Pro is a non-consumable, one-time purchase offered through the Apple App Store. Apple displays and collects the price, currency, and applicable taxes before purchase. After purchase, Pro unlocks unlimited active self-created countdowns and the ability to initiate sharing, display sharing links or QR codes, and copy or export them. Receiving and following shared countdowns remains free. Existing shared links and previously authorized queued operations continue to be maintained, and stopping sharing or deleting a shared countdown does not require an active Pro entitlement. It is not an auto-renewable subscription: there are no recurring charges and no renewal to cancel.
Payment is charged through your Apple Account. After a successful purchase, the transaction is recorded in your Apple Account. You may use “Restore Purchases” in the App or Apple’s restoration process to restore eligible purchases on devices using the same Apple Account, subject to Apple’s rules. Apple handles refunds, billing disputes, and purchase management under its policies; Tilu does not process payment-card information and cannot override Apple’s refund decisions.
Your Pro entitlement may be removed if Apple revokes, refunds, or determines a transaction is invalid. Nothing in these Terms limits consumer rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
4. Sharing Links and Your Responsibilities
When you choose to create a sharing link or QR code, anyone holding it may be able to view the associated shared countdown. You are responsible for choosing recipients and for ensuring that titles, content, and use are lawful, non-infringing, privacy-respecting, and not malicious, deceptive, or harmful. Treat sharing links and QR codes as sensitive access credentials; do not publish a link containing content you do not want to disclose publicly.
You can stop sharing or delete a shared countdown in the App. Network conditions, device state, or service failures may delay syncing or a stop action. Until that action is completed, people who already have a link may be able to access the last successfully published shared content.
5. Availability and Changes
We aim to provide a reliable experience, but the App, Widget, sharing, remote configuration, and third-party services may be interrupted, delayed, or unavailable because of maintenance, networks, system updates, device compatibility, Apple, Cloudflare, Firebase, or other circumstances reasonably beyond our control. We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of a feature for security, compliance, maintenance, or product evolution, and will provide notice when reasonably practicable.
6. Intellectual Property
The App and its interface, code, name, marks, text, and other content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws and owned by Tilu or its licensors. Except as law expressly allows or we give written permission, you may not copy, modify, decompile, rent, sell, sublicense, or otherwise misuse the App. You retain rights in content you create. To provide sharing, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to store, transmit, and display the current countdown snapshot you choose to share.
7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, completely secure, or that countdowns, notifications, Widgets, or shared data will always be accurate, timely, or available. Countdowns are for personal organization and reminder purposes only, and must not be used for medical, emergency, safety-critical, legal, financial, or other zero-error purposes.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Tilu is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business opportunity. Where the law does not allow a complete exclusion or limitation, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted. This section does not exclude liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Apple and the Standard EULA
When the App is made available through the Apple App Store, Apple is not a party to these Terms and, except as otherwise required by law or Apple’s terms, is not responsible for support, maintenance, or claims relating to the App. Apple and its subsidiaries may be third-party beneficiaries of applicable App-related terms.
For the App license obtained through the App Store, the Apple Standard End User License Agreement (Standard EULA) applies. This page is not a custom EULA and does not replace, alter, or limit the Apple Standard EULA.
9. Applicable Law, Severability, and Updates
These Terms are governed and interpreted by the law applicable to the relationship between you and Tilu, without affecting mandatory consumer-protection rights available where you live. If a provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. We may update these Terms; an updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
